The newspaper surveyed the Senior Class of 2017 to get a glimpse of their bucket lists. Here are their results:

Where in the world would you travel if money was no object?

Europe received the most votes with 41%. Asia came in second place with 21% of the vote. The lowest was South America with 12% of the vote.

Would you rather go skydiving, scuba diving, rock climbing, or cliff jumping?

Scuba diving came in first with 44% of the vote, while skydiving came in a close second with 39% of the vote.

Would you rather see a show on Broadway, see a pro sports team live, or see the concert of your favorite band?

Going to a concert came in first with 48% of the votes which was almost half of the responses. In second was watching Broadway, which leaves sports in last place.

You would consider your future self a failure if you don’t have a spouse/family, work at your dream job, or travel the world.

Having a spouse/family came in first with 57% of the vote. Dream job and traveling tied for second with approximately 21%.

Which celebrity would you want to meet?

Johnny Depp came in first place with 24% of the vote. Morgan Freeman was in second with 17% of the vote. The Kardashians came in last with only 4% of the vote.

If money was no object, where would you attend college?

In first place was Out of State with 34 % of the votes, with Foreign Country in a close second with 29% of the votes.

Do you want to learn a new language after high school?

‘Yes’ had the overwhelmingly largest response with 61% of the vote. ‘Maybe’ was in second with 30%, and ‘No’ was in last with 9%.

When asked about intended major the medical field came in first with 21%, and the arts followed in second with 18%. In last place was foreign languages with only 1% of the vote.

If you had to relive part of your schooling which would it be?

Senior year came in first with 35% of the vote. In second place was the other end of the spectrum K-3 with 22%. In last place was sophomore year with only 7%.

Which faculty/staff member would you throw a pie at?

The top five are as follows:

Mr. Peterson with 11 votes, Mr. Spencer with 10 votes, Mr. Applegate and Mrs. Erickson tied for third with 8 votes each, Mr. Campbell and Mr. Lindsey tied for fourth with 7 votes each, and Mr. Astle came in fifth with 6 votes.


Thank you to all the seniors who participated in this survey. There is great diversity within the school and that showed in the results. We wish all Senior Lancers the best of luck as they go out into the world and make their mark.
